“I’ve spent a life chasing stories to tell when I get old” – Atticus
(THIS HAPPENED IN AUGUST (19th) 2022)

We have a customer. A friend. A gentleman with a kind heart. Butch is his name. You’ve probably seen him around town. He had a best friend that walked on four legs named max. Max was a chocolate lab that the community of Blenheim adored. He would follow his best friend and owner – Butch, everywhere! The two were inseparable. Max was an incredible dog that would walk into our shop, waging his tail to greet everyone with love. Without a collar or leash. Max was a great dog. One the town has never seen before.
Max unfortunately crossed the rainbow bridge early this year. Leaving our buddy Butch devastated. Butch had a hard time find joy in life. Depressed. Not himself. And missing his best friend…
So we decided to form a plan together to get him a new best friend. With permission of course, we gifted Missy to him. It was love at first sight for both. Missy is the joy in his life that was missing. Butch is so very grateful and excited to get up every morning now. He learnt the art of not forgetting, but how to let go. Max will forever be in all of our hearts, and now Missy too!
Butch, we love you buddy. And Missy too. We are so happy for you, and glad you and Missy are going to have amazing adventures in town together. She stole our hearts. The town needs another generation of unconditional love, excitement, and a special dog to keep us all connected. Thank you Butch for building bridges for community, communication, and friendships. You’re one of a kind!
